MPlayer for Windows
The award winning OpenSource Media Player is now available for Windows. MPlayer for Windows provides native support for more than 192 Video and 85 Audio codecs.
For maximum performance, the installer includes optimized builds for different CPU types. Furthermore the Full Package includes the Binary Codec Package, while the Light Package does not.

Aptana Jaxer
Jaxer is a new kind of Web server optimized for Ajax pages and applications. It’s open source and 100% free. Use Jaxer’s server-side JavaScript APIs to interact with databases and object stores, communicate over networks (FTP, SMTP, HTTP, etc…), interact with file systems, manage state with user sessions, and lots more. HandBrake
HandBrake is an open-source, GPL-licensed, multiplatform, multithreaded DVD to MPEG-4, AVI or OGM ripper/converter. MP4 with AAC audio or AVC with h264 video and AAC audio. It also lets you crop the image to get rid of the black bars to bring down the size even more and lets you choose options as to how you want it encoded.
